Ottawa's OrKidstra program has a special reason to be happy pop singer Josh Groban will be in town this week.

Tina Fedeski, one of the founders of the non-profit youth music program, announced Monday that Or-Kidstra will receive a donation from Groban's Find Your Light Foundation, which is dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through arts, education, and cultural awareness.

Groban will make the donation during his concert July 22 at Scotiabank Place, Fedeski said in a press release. As well, members of the group have been invited to the concert, and Groban will mention them from the stage. They will also meet him before the concert. "It is a huge honour for OrKidstra to be chosen by Josh Groban and to be part of his truly inspiring Find Your Light Foundation. He is passionate about arts education for all children because he knows, first hand, how the arts can transform lives and communities," Fedeski said.

OrKidstra is one of the first groups to benefit from Groban's foundation. The singer plans to make a donation during each stop on his Straight to You tour.
