Mother's darling and heart-throb of the ladies Josh Groban has done it again with another collection of beautiful songs.
And yes, the boyish-looking lad with the big voice also sings the ubiquitous selection of Christmas numbers, including hardy annuals such as 'Silent Night', 'Ave Maria', 'Petit Papa Noel' and 'Little Drummer Boy' (yes, that too), but these, fortunately, are on a separate CD and don't have to distract or interfere with the listening pleasure of the 16 other songs which he does so superbly.
In addition to 'You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)', 'Remember When It Rained', 'Alejate', 'In Her Eyes' and 'To Where You Are', his first hits collection also includes rarities like 'Anthem' recorded live at 'Chess in Concert' and 'Weeping', which he did live with Vusi Mahlasela and the Soweto Gospel Choir.
Groban's voice is legendary. His presentation is so easy, so smooth and he does it all with such passion and feeling that every song is special.
He is one of those super performers that one never tires of and I can think of nothing better for the Dear Old Mums of this world for Christmas.
