Josh Groban: Live at the Greek
Josh Groban's 2002 PBS "Great Performances" special was a #1 selling DVD and the best-selling long-form music video of 2003. His second "Great Performances" special, taped at L.A.'s Greek Theater this summer, will be broadcast this holiday season. For fans if the young sophisticated pop phenomenon who has sold more than 8 million albums to date, this CD+DVD package is just the latest great performance in the career of Josh Groban.
The DVD sports 17 tracks from the Greek show, including the adult contemporary hit "To Where You Are" and "Alla Luce Del Sole" featuring Bela Fleck. Violinist Lucia Micarelli performs a medley of "Nocturne" and Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody."
Bonus features include on-the-road footage with Groban and a performance of the Glenn Ballard-penned new song "Believe," his contribution to the soundtrack for the upcoming film "The Polar Express." The album is due Tuesday (Nov. 2) via Reprise, while the film opens Nov. 10 in U.S. theaters.
The CD portion of "Live at the Greek" extracts eight songs from the special, including "Oceano," "America" and "Never Let Go."
