In the Studio With Josh Groban

Delilah's reflections: Josh Groban...a fresh-faced boy with a full head of beautiful loose curls, far too young and wiry to possess a voice like Pavarotti...but when he opens his mouth and sings you feel as if you are standing in the presence of an angel.
Josh is not only an amazing singer, he is a truly sweet young man. I am not sure how old Josh was the first time he visited our studios - probably 18 or 19, I believe. He is just a few years older than my two oldest boys, and watching his career take off has been a real treat. He is never rude, stuck-up or unkind, but always very humble and genuine.
A few months ago we had our first Radiothon for Point Hope and Josh came through for us in a big way! He was on the air with us, encouraging his fans to help out and be generous. And generous they were - the "Grobanites" took up the call to action and made the whole event so much more successful than we had imagined it could be!
So a huge THANK YOU to Josh and to all his faithful fans. We love you! D.
Josh and the "Grobanites" lent their support for our spring Radiothon on behalf of World Vision and Point Hope. In addition to giving cash gifts during the Radiothon itself, members of the "Grobanites for Africa " and Grobanites for Charity teams joined forces and held a book drive benefiting Point Hope. Together they have collected 2,866 books for the children of the Buduburam refugee camp.
Sandi expressed her gratitude to Delilah and Josh, "Delilah----as always, THANK YOU for everything you're doing. I pray daily that your school becomes a reality. Thanks to you and to Josh for inspiring us all to be better people and for giving the Grobanites this opportunity to help."
Josh's fans appreciate his musical gifts and his passion for helping those less fortunate. Beth, a loyal fan and supporter told us, "I have the Josh Groban Foundation as my charity platform and I deliver donations made by Josh Groban fans. Without such a wonderful and generous performer as Josh, I wouldn't have had the privilege to have founded Riley's Wishes for the hospital or to make the donation in the name of his Foundation."
Josh has won the hearts of millions since releasing his self-titled debut album in 2001. When Josh started his second album he felt more grounded and wanted to set the bar higher to reflect his growth as an artist. His second album, Closer, features his uplifting hit "You Raise Me Up." How did Josh pick the name of his second album? "What most people know about me, they know through my music. This time, I've tried to open that door as wide as possible. These songs are a giant step closer to who I really am and what my music is all about. Hence the title." Josh, a vocalist and a song writer says, "To me, these songs present something beautiful."
